ROLF HARRIS? SPIVEY, SUN 31 MARCH 13

Chris Spivey on Sunday 31 March 13 @ http://www.chrisspivey.co.uk/

Identity of Rolf Harris, arrested by Savile police stays secret
Posted: 30 Mar 2013 01:55 AM PDT
The Daily Mail/ The Daily Mirror

You just have to love the MSM don’t cha?
The Daily Mail’s headline screams “Identity of 82-year-old man from Berkshire still kept under wraps”… Errr, no it isn’t.
Neither is there an injunction in place banning Randy Rolf from being named.
Another reason doing the rounds for not naming ‘shhh, you know who’, is the fragile state of his mental health. Apparently, Romping Rolf spent Christmas in the Priory after being admitted due to him feeling suicidal… Everyone say Ahhh… Thats enough Ahhhing.
As it happens, I have it on good authority that Steve Messham and Bruce Forsyth were also in there with him. Bet that was a bundle of laughs. You can imagine the trio playing charades cant you:
Harris: “Can ya tell who it is yet”?
Messham: “Lord McAlpine”?
Forsyth: “Oh didn’t he do well”!
Harris: “It was Leon Brittan actually Cobber”.
Messham: “Well how was I to know that? Iv’e only ever seen one photo of him and that was in Nineteen eighty long ago”!
Forsyth: “Oh what a shame… Still, good game, good game. Lets look at the old score board”.
Mind you, I’m not quite sure why Messham was in there since according to my good friend Jimmy Jones, who writes the Outlaw Blog, Stevie boy is very much in the money these days:
“I will not repeat my thoughts on the motives of Steven Messham here as my feelings are made clear elsewhere, but allow me to ask one question.
Why is it that Steven Messham has ‘earned’ more money just by being a victim than many people have after spending their entire lives working… ?
Just something I should throw out there….. £120,000 or thereabouts has been one figure quoted, and even that may be an underestimation”
…. READ MORE
As for why Brucie was in there? I’m saying nothing.
Course, another reason for not naming Reluctant Rolf - and probably the one closet to the truth – could be his very close friendship with the PRP*… Just saying.
Never the less, The Daily Mirror, who are also not naming ‘Hiding’ Harris, appear to have faired better than the Daily Mail did in their report. You see, the Mirror miraculously managed to get a quote off of one of Rampant Rolf’s chums – who said:
“This is destroying him. He’s in excruciating agony and at his wits’ end. He’s a private man and is tormented by what’s happened. He’s shocked and distressed and simply cannot understand why he’s been arrested”.
Now, when I named Reticent Rolf back in November 2012, there were quite a few of my fellow countrymen who were adamant that I had got the wrong fella… Oh yee of little faith.
Even more amazing was that some people were quite critical of me for naming the glorified painter and decorator… Course, as you would expect, the fact that these critics were quite venomous in their condemnation of me, left me shaking my head in shock and bewilderment.
To be honest, I still have trouble four months later getting my head round the fact that those who did have a pop at me were stupid enough to think that I would give a fuck.
My Australian friends on the other hand, were much more open minded. In fact, I received more than a few Emails from my Antipodean pals providing me with details of what they knew about Revolting Rolf.
Therefore, in response to the Mirror’s comments, I have no qualms what so ever in saying that I hope this sordid business does end up destroying hairy faced Harris and continues to cause him ”excruciating agony” for many years to come.
Furthermore, talk about Rolf’s mate stating the bleeding obvious. Of course he’s a “private’ man”. I mean, Repugnant Rolf’s hardly going to brag about being a sex pest is he for fucks sake?
It does in fact, make me want to puke listening to comments designed to elicit sympathy for the sex pest. Then again, the only purpose of the MSM these days is to manipulate peoples perception… Unfortunately, it is a function that works extremely well.
Personally, I hope he is fucking tormented. After all, Rampant Rolf obviously didn’t give a fuck about the torment that he caused his victims.
As for the pathetic bleat about Hard-on Harris not being able to understand why he’s been arrested? Fuck off.
Considering the fact that I had already singled Harris out as a sex pest before he was arrested. And then having what I had heard re-enforced from those ‘down under’, leaves me with no doubt about the vile perverts guilt.
With that being the case, I would suggest that the weirdy beardy bloke knows exactly why he’s been nicked.
As for yee of little faith… You’s lot can believe what the fuck you like. It makes no difference to me what so ever.

Unknown: Identity of 82-year-old arrested in Jimmy Savile investigation is still kept secret
The identity of a household-name celebrity arrested by the Jimmy Savile police squad was being kept a mystery last night.
The 82-year-old star was detained on suspicion of sexual offences by officers from Operation Yewtree.
He was questioned on Thursday and released on police bail to a date in May pending further inquiries.
Yesterday neither he nor his agent or lawyers responded to requests for comment.
There were four cars on the gated drive of the celebrity’s riverside house in Berkshire, and people could be seen inside, but nobody would comment.
When a reporter identified himself over the intercom, a woman said: ‘Good for you.’
The star was first interviewed under caution on November 29 last year.
That month, officers also executed a search warrant.
The entertainer is one of 11 people arrested so far under Operation Yewtree, the Metropolitan Police’s £1million investigation sparked by Savile’s decades of offending.
Scotland Yard said the arrested man falls into the category of its investigation termed ‘others’.
This means he is suspected of sexual offences that are not connected to Savile’s offending.
Earlier this week, the Mail revealed that as few as three of the 11 men arrested by Scotland Yard over suspected sex offences in the Savile case are likely to be charged.

Details of the small number of likely Yewtree prosecutions emerged a day after a former BBC producer was released without charge following his arrest over an alleged sex assault in 1965.
Wilfred De’Ath, 75, who spent four months on bail before being cleared, accused police of being ‘over-zealous’, pursuing ‘spurious’ claims, and failing ‘lamentably’ to stop Savile’s reign of terror while he was still alive.

Arrested: Both PR guru Max Clifford, left, and DJ Dave Lee Travis have been arrested by Yewtree detectives
The police operation, which has 30 dedicated detectives, has been criticised by some as a ‘celebrity witch-hunt’.
There has been growing speculation that comedian Freddie Starr could soon be told that he, too, will not be charged. He strenuously denies claims that he attempted to grope a 14-year-old girl in Savile’s BBC changing room in 1974.
If, as seems likely, only a handful of men are charged, there are sure to be uncomfortable questions for the police over the probe.
Yard chiefs insist all arrests by the Yewtree detectives were ‘necessary and proportionate’.
Other celebrities arrested by the Yewtree squad include the comedian Jim Davidson, PR guru Max Clifford and disgraced pop star Gary Glitter, all of whom deny wrongdoing.
Davidson, 59, was detained over historic sex allegations – not involving children – shortly before he was due to appear on Celebrity Big Brother in January and rearrested last week over new allegations dating back to 1978.
DJ Dave Lee Travis, 67, was also rearrested over sex allegations involving adults. He too denies wrongdoing.

“This is destroying me”: Celebrity, 82, in “excruciating agony” after arrest by Jimmy Savile police

The showbiz figure was quizzed for hours on suspicion of sexual offences, four months after they interviewed him under caution

A friend of the latest showbiz figure held by police probing Jimmy Savile’s sordid past has told how the arrest has left him in a “fragile state”.
The 82-year-old celebrity, who we are not naming, was quizzed for hours by Operation Yewtree officers on suspicion of sexual offences, four months after they interviewed him under caution.
The pal said: “This is destroying him. He’s in excruciating agony and at his wits’ end.
“He’s a private man and is tormented by what’s happened.
“He’s shocked and distressed and simply cannot understand why he’s been arrested.
“He’s trying to get on with his life, but finding it really, really quite impossible to think straight.
“My friend is a lovely, loyal devoted husband and father and I can’t imagine him ever doing anything to tarnish his rightfully-earned image.”
The celebrity was held when he voluntarily arrived at a police station on Thursday afternoon after a prior arrangement made with his solicitor.
He was released at midnight. It was not last night known if he had returned home following his arrest or was staying elsewhere.
Curtains at his gated Berkshire house remained drawn yesterday. The occupants chose not to speak about the allegations.
Two young men left the property in a camper van without commenting.
The celeb is one of 11 people held as part of Operation Yewtree.

New Scotland Yard sign

Others include PR consultant Max Clifford, comedian Freddie Starr, DJ Dave Lee Travis, Gary Glitter, Savile producer Ted Beston and “Nick Nick” comic Jim Davidson.
All deny the allegations.
Lee Travis was last week re-arrested in connection with allegations of sex abuse.
Scotland Yard said the star held on Thursday was originally interviewed under caution on November 29, five days after a search warrant was executed at his home. He has been bailed until May.
A Crown Prosecution Service spokesman revealed senior lawyers have been advising police about his case.
He added: “The CPS has given investigative advice to police in relation to a man in his 80s from Berkshire in relation to possible offences of a sexual nature.”
Operation Yewtree has three strands, one dealing with allegations directly against Savile, the second is the DJ and others and the third just others.
The 82-year-old was arrested in relation to the others group.
This week, Wilfred De’ath – the fourth person held by Yewtree officers – was told he would not be charged.
The former BBC producer, who is in his 70s and once worked with Savile on a radio show, claimed police had been “arresting people on rather spurious allegations”, having “lamentably failed to get” the presenter when he was alive.
The CPS said there was not enough evidence to charge Mr De’ath after a woman withdrew allegations against him.
Vile pervert Savile died aged 84 in 2011, but the shocking extent of his offending only became public after an ITV documentary last year.
Subsequent reports prompted dozens of victims to come forward.
The Jim’ll Fix It star preyed on vulnerable victims at hospitals, the BBC studios and while out on the road.

That as far as she is concerned the Court shall rule by default and without further examination, on the basis of the means, files, and conclusions presented and provided by the attending parties ; I. OBJECT AND ADMISSIBILITY OF THE REQUEST
Given the request, formulated by the conclusions provided to the Registry of the Court on 31 January 2012 for Nigel COOPER, on the basis of article 11 of the European Regulations No. 2201/2003 of 27 November 2003, also known as “Brussels II bis” and article 1322 bis of the judicial Code, is disposed to grant to Nigel COOPER primary custody of his daughter Bailie Kate COOPER, born on 1 August 2003 in Coventry (united Kingdom) from his union with Gail COOPER, and therefore order immediate return of the child to the Kingdom of Belgium, in this case to the domicile of her father, registered in 7020 MONS (Belgium), rue Grande, 205/2.2 and in this respect, on forfeiture of a penalty of 500 euros per day of delay, Our decision being additionally supplemented by the passport certificate in accordance with the “BRUSSELS II bis” Regulation, under the conditions, modalities and authorizations better outlined in the arrangement scheme of the initiating proceedings ; that subsequently the request is pursuing the right for secondary custody in favor of Nigel COOPER regarding his daughter Bailie Kate COOPER, the modalities being better detailed in the operative part of the conclusions ;

That this request, justified in its means and submitted within the legal deadline, shall be receivable ;
II. CAUSE FOR THE REQUEST Brief background facts Considering that the applicant Nigel COOPER settled in Belgium in January 2006 as he was hired as Principal Consultant for Network Security at SHAPE ;
Considering that he was later joined by his daughter on 12 October 2006 as attested by the residence certificate written and signed by the Civil Registrar of the City of Mons on 30 September 2011, based on a private power of attorney provided by the defendant Gail COOPER on 5 August 2006, which reads as follows : “I, Gail COOPER, mother of Bailie Kate COOPER, authorize Bailie Kate COOPER to live with her father Nigel COOPER” ;
That the defendant later joined the applicant and his daughter on 20 January 2007 to live with him, first in Mons, than later in Lessines ;
Considering that during the period of the time they lived together, the applicant obviously catered to the well-being of his daughter, mainly by himself and because of the clear addiction to drugs and alcohol which already afflicted the defendant at the time ;
That, no less than twenty-five independent testimonies were written and provided to the file of the applicant in order to attest of the true attentive care he was providing his daughter, as well as the quality of the level of education he was offering her ; Considering that on 3 March 2011, the defendant committed a felony by taking the child Bailie Kate to the United Kingdom, and did so after having willingly misled to local authorities of the City of Lessines, in playing on the existing similarity of names between the applicant, herself, and a someone named Paul COOPER, who was her first husband, and father of a daughter named Keeva-Rae, the so-called Paul COOPER granting the defendant, after signing a private power of attorney on 7 December 2007, full authority to leave the Kingdom of Belgium with his daughter Keeva-Rae COOPER ;

That on 5 November 2011, the Mayor of the City of Lessines acknowledged that he had indeed been completely misled and as a result stated so in writing, explaining that in fact the applicant Nigel COOPER had never given to the defendant Gail COOPER the written authorization to leave the Belgian territory accompanied by their daughter Bailie COOPER;
That in accordance to the provisions of the Hague Convention of 25 October 1980 on the civil aspects of international child abduction, the applicant COOPER contacted on 21 September 2011 the Belgian Central Authority, i.e. the Federal Public Service of Justice to notify them of the parental abduction and thus asked for the immediate return of the child to Belgium ;
That, in addition, the child contacted her father again as early as 13 November 2011 to let him know that she felt unsafe with her mother and her new partner, this once again proving the alcoholism and drug abuse of the defendant, Gail COOPER ;
That the British High Court of Justice ordered against the return of the child on 25 November 2011 ;
And that following a decision that can be criticized on many grounds, which were clearly taken out of context or subject to a utterly subjective and inadequate interpretation, Our British counterpart considered that the applicant Nigel COOPER had simply, through his mere acts, given his consent to the mother to take the child, under article 13 of the Hague Convention ;

Debate

Considering that We do not wish to remind of the legal, international, and internal provisions applicable in this case, since “no one is supposed to ignore the Law” ;
That the request of Nigel COOPER, which aims to grant him custody of his daughter, is fundamentally based on article 11.7 of the Brussels II Regulations ;
That there is no doubt whatsoever that the whole family was residing in Belgium until the defendant Gail COOPER committed a felony ;
That the child Bailie Kate was therefore indeed a legal resident in Belgium ;
Considering that the applicant never gave his consent for his daughter to depart to the United Kingdom ;
That it has been clearly established that the defendant COOPER misled the authorities of the City of Lessines in order to get hold of the authorizations she needed ;
That the letter written on 1 March 2011 by the applicant to the defendant, reference C38 of the file of British Court, relates exclusively to the applicant’s consent to the departure of his wife, and not the departure of his daughter ;
That indeed, this document clearly bears the following reference “the departure and return of Mrs Gail COOPER to the United Kingdom” ;
That the interpretation of the British Judge regarding the email that Gail COOPER addresses to the applicant on 15 August 2011, is in fact exactly the opposite of its actual meaning ;
That this email does not, in any case, lead to the conclusion that there was no illegal departure of the child ;

Considering also that the financial support offered by Nigel COOPER to his spouse does not demonstrate his will to offer child support contributions to his spouse in the maintenance and educational costs of his daughter, hence does not either automatically imply that Gail COOPER does in effect and lawfully benefit from the prerogatives of custody rights, but rather show that he is strictly complying with his duty of supporting his spouse while in marriage, as described in article 203 in the Belgian Civil Code;

Considering that at every single contact between the applicant and his daughter by videoconference, the child strongly expressed her wishes to go back to Belgium, and that this clearly indicates that she was not properly cared for by her mother and the partner of her mother ; That the British Social Services, warned by the applicant’s letter, took over the case while the Children Social Welfare Services of Sunderland presented a written agreement to the parties on 12 January 2012, which aim was to minimize (sic!) all risks for Bailie and promote her emotional, social, and physical well-being – agreement made between Mrs Gail Cooper, her current partner Derek JOHNSON and the Sunderland Local Authority ;

That, in accordance to the above-mentioned agreement, Mr Derek JOHNSON was no longer authorized to stay overnight at the residence of the defendant whenever the child was present, going as far as pointing out that when the child was staying at the residence, Mr JOHNSON and the defendant COOPER should refrain from consuming alcohol or any illicit drugs “resic!” ;
That the above-mentioned agreement also suggested that the defendant should report to a service called “Riverside Women in Need”, which is sponsored by the University of Sunderland and meant to help victims of domestic abuse, this very invitation clearly indicating the level of “quality” of the relation between the defendant and her partner Derek JOHNSON ;
That the later was supposed to report to a service called “The Head Project”, sponsored by the same university and meant to help abusive and violent individuals, this invitation obviously being a consequence of the similar invitation made to the defendant COOPER… ;
Considering that in planning the hearings of the British High Court of Justice scheduled on 24 and 25 November 2011, an independent consulting organization called “CAFCASS” as per the translation “Service of counsel and support to the family court” provided a child abduction report, which made us believe beyond any reasonable doubt that what Bailie Kate COOPER genuinely wished for was to go back and live under the roof of her father, as Mrs Liliane ODZE reports ;
That this report indeed shows that even if the child remains, and it is by far understandable, torn apart by the inevitable conflict of loyalty between parents, she does not however shows any clear preference in her wishes in remaining in England but rather she insists on going back to her father’s home, while expressing her wish to meet regularly with her maternal grandfather, and, of course, her mother ;

That the British Judge should have, in view of all the elements which were given to his appreciation, ordered the evident return of the child in the country of her choice, i.e. the Kingdom of Belgium ; That We shall order this course of action, which also obviously meets the greater and objective interests of the child ;
That no guarantee can be obtained in this regard within the home of her mother, knowing that the removal and/or control precautions of the mother and her partner as described in the agreement made on 12 January 2012 do not strictly constitute a binding constraint or even an obligation ;
Considering finally that Our decision will be supplemented with the passport certificate as referred to in article 42 of the Brussels II bis Regulation; passport certificate which is to be handed to the applicant Nigel COOPER, along with this decision ;
That based on the Rule of Law, the home of the parent who is honorable and capable to respect the prerogatives of the custody of his child must be preferred to any other care structure or any other home of replacement, as respectable as these may be ;

That Nigel COOPER effectively complies with these conditions and requirements in this case ;
FOR THOSE REASONS,
We, Xavier HIERNAUX, Single Judge, assisted by Christine VACHAUDEZ, Registrar ;
Upon the provisions of the law of 15 June 1935 applied in this case, and article 107 of the law of 22 December 1998 ;
Upon article 11 of the European Regulations Nr. 2201/2003 of 27 November 2003, also known as “Brussels II bis” and article 1322 bis of the judicial Code ; Hereby record the claim, denials and reservations of the appearing party, and deem all further or contrary conclusions unsubstantiated;
Having heard Mister Henri RENARD, Substitute for the Royal Prosecutor, who gave his assent at the hearing of 22 February 2012 ;
Rule by default against the defendant Gail COOPER, and upon hearing the other parties in summary proceedings ;
Declare the request of Nigel COOPER admissible, And pronounce his request well-founded for the specific purpose stated below ;

As a result :
Grant custody rights for the child Bailie Kate COOPER, born in Coventry (United Kingdom) on 1 August 2003, to Nigel COOPER, her father, with whom the child will have her official residence ;
Order the immediate return of Bailie Kate COOPER, born on 1 August 2003, to the Kingdom of Belgium, and in this case within the official residence of her father Nigel COOPER, as registered rue Grande, 205/2.2 in 7020 MONS, and in the absence of complying with the obligation of return of the child by the defendant Gail COOPER , we condemn her to a daily fine amounting to FIVE HUNDRED EUROS (500€) for the delay in the return of the child, to be enforced and paid starting on the day following the service of this decision ;
Declare that this decision is supplemented by the passport certificate referred to in article 42 of the Brussels II bis Regulation, which is delivered to Nigel COOPER upon sending it to him ;
Authorize, as needed, Nigel COOPER to take back or arrange the removal of his daughter Bailie COOPER as soon as this decision is rendered ;
Empower the Police Forces to retrieve this child wherever she may be located, whether a bailiff is present or not as per his mission of executing the present judgment ;
Expressly authorize the Police Forces as well as the bailiff to force any entrance, even private and even if it is somewhere else than the school she attends or the domicile of Gail COOPER, this for the sole purpose of retrieving Bailie, if necessary with the assistance of a locksmith in order to open and even break open doors, may these be private entrances ;
Declare that the entire fees and disbursements generated by the execution of this decision will have to be paid exclusively by the defendant Gail COOPER, and condemn her to pay back to Nigel COOPER all fees he may have given up front, upon a simple justification of payment ;

This evening there was a 30 minute broadcast of Belgian national TV naming and shaming in the UK, the SS, and Judges! They went as far as to publish the 67,000 removed / stolen children that have a net value to the SS of 33 1/2 Billion euros. The UK steals children from families for profit. How else do you think the UK pay's for its war machine.

BANNED from the UK: EX-NATO Security Consultant because the “UK has been caught red handed stealing children”
March 11, 2013

This 32 minute video is another ‘story’ of child snatching – this time Sunderland County Council – naming the people responsible for taking Nigel Cooper‘s daughter dismissing him from NATO trying to gag him and to accept British jurisdiction, even though he is a Belgian resident. He is the quintessential English gentleman who has been put into exile for 10 years.

He knows what he’s talking about: a Principal Network Security consultant to NATO who spent 22 years in the Royal Navy and earned 13 medals in the name of Her Majesty and served for 7 years to protect children under the hospice of NATO. Here he is the accuser of the UK not just stealing his daughter but thousands of children for 80 plus years

“you stole my daughter”

“you are a plain thief”

the UK is stealing children for profit! I will use this judgement to bring down the UK to free every single child in the UK that you’ve stolen. Belgium has empowered me with this silver bullet [the judgement with highlights and emphasis added by the blogger] to bring down the SS to go at the Lord Chancellor Lord Alexander Thorpe against 96 names across 11 companies and corporations of international child thieves. I, Nigel Cooper, grant to every person the right to hold this document in the name of the Law. You are instructed in accordance with the Law.

“Russia has warned of tensions in North Korea slipping out of control, after Pyongyang said it was placing its missile units on stand-by.” – BBC News
All this reporting on the muscle flexing North Koreans could mean 3 things:
1) The MSM government propaganda wing is being utilised to deflect attention away from the public outrage at the benefit reforms and whitewashed Operation Yewtree.
2)Ying Tong Ying Tong Ying Tong Ying Tong Ying Tong Iddle I Poo is, as the MSM are suggesting, trying to force Washington to the negotiating table.
3) Ying Tong Ying Tong Ying Tong Ying Tong Ying Tong Iddle I Poo has had enough of the USA – and the UK for that matter – deliberately provoking them and like all lil fellas, feels he has something to prove.
Never the less. I am fucking sick and tired of Our governments needlessly putting us in danger. If it all goes off, those cunts shaking their handbags at each other will still be sipping their Champagne miles underground somewhere. Meanwhile the rest of us, who don’t want any of this shit will be busy gluing our skin back on.
Leave North Korea alone for fucks sake. They have done nothing to us.

A British businessman has been warned to stay out of North Korea after the government announced nuclear rockets are prepared to strike at the U.S..
Dylan Harris, director of Lupine Travel, which specialises in holidays to unusual places like Iran, Chernobyl and Siberia, received a worrying email from Pyongyang this morning.
The message from North Korean authorities said: ‘The situation in Korea is now very serious as the U.S. have carried out a simulated nuclear attack on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea using B52 bombers and now B2A stealth bombers.
‘The DPRK has now ordered its rockets to standby to destroy US bases if the DPRK is attacked. The situation is now critical with the outbreak of war probably only hours away.’

Leader Kim Jong-un has put missile units on standby to attack U.S. bases marking a ‘turning point’ against American ‘imperialism’ and ‘opening a new phase of history’.
Mr Harris, 34, from Wigan, has been a visitor to North Korea since 2007 and organises golfing trips to the country up to four times a month.
At the moment, there is a group of 10 – one Brit and nine Chinese – in the capital Pyongyang who who are safe and well, according to Mr Harris.

They are due to fly out of the country tomorrow after a five-day break and the DPRK have confirmed that the border is to stay open for tourists.
Mr Harris said: ‘I contacted the Foreign Office and if they say it’s unsafe we will not travel or organise further trips to North Korea.
‘However, there is a group of ten golfers in Pyongyang, which is where the only public golf course is, who are due to fly out of the country tomorrow.

North Korea today released photographs of Kim Jong Un inside his military command centre signing the order to put rockets on standby to attack the U.S. mainland.
The pictures, which appeared in the state-run Rodong newspaper, show Kim surrounded by his generals, large-scale maps and diagrams during an ‘emergency meeting’ at an undisclosed location.
A chart marked ‘U.S. mainland strike plan’ appears to show missile trajectories that the NK News web site estimates targets Hawaii, Washington DC, Los Angeles and Austin, Texas.

However closer inspection of the chart shows the flight path missing these targets as it cuts through California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina.
The order from leader Kim Jong Un came after the U.S. flew two stealth bombers over the Korean peninsula.

Meanwhile, thousands of North Koreans turned out for a mass rally today in support of their leader Kim Jong Un’s call to arms.
Soldiers and students chanted ‘death to the U.S. imperialists’ and ‘sweep away the U.S. aggressors’ at Kim Il Sung Square in downtown Pyongyang.

The U.S. said the stealth bomber practice runs were designed to show its ability to conduct long-range, precision strikes ‘quickly and at will.’
Seoul, which has been carrying out routine military drills with America, says it is closely monitoring movements in North Korea.
Many Western experts believe the aggressive posturing is part of a grand master plan to force Washington to the negotiating table and put pressure the new president in Seoul to change policy on North Korea.
Pyongyang is angry about a hike in sanctions, imposed after it carried out a third nuclear test in February.
A full-blown North Korean attack is unlikely. However, there are fears of a more localised conflict.

The rhetoric from North Korea – which has threatened the United States with nuclear war and rehearsed drone attacks on South Korea – and Washington’s hardening reaction, has drawn more concern from China, Pyongyang’s only major ally.
China has described the situation as ‘sensitive’.
Pyongyang says United Nations sanctions, agreed after North Korea carried out a third nuclear test in February, are part of a Washington-led plot to topple its leadership.
‘From this moment, the Supreme Command of the Korean People’s Army will be putting into combat duty posture No. 1 all field artillery units, including long-range artillery units and strategic rocket units, that will target all enemy objects in U.S. invasionary bases on its mainland, Hawaii and Guam, the North’s KCNA news agency said on Tuesday.
The order was issued in a statement from the North Korea’s military ‘supreme command’.
The Pentagon condemned North Korea’s rhetoric, saying it was designed to ‘raise tensions and intimidate others’.

KIM JONG’S MASTER PLAN: WHY NORTH KOREA’S AGGRESIVE POSTURING IS JUST A ROUSE TO BRING WASHINGTON TO THE NEGOTIATING TABLE

Call my bluff? North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un appears to be trying to force Washington to the negotiating tableCall my bluff? North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un appears to be trying to force Washington to the negotiating table
Across North Korea, soldiers are gearing up for battle and shrouding their jeeps and vans with camouflage netting. Newly painted signboards and posters call for ‘death to the U.S. imperialists’ and urge the people to fight with ‘arms, not words.’

But even as North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is issuing midnight battle cries to his generals to ready their rockets, he and his million-man army know full well that a successful missile strike on U.S. targets would be suicide for the outnumbered, out-powered North Korean regime.

Despite the hastening drumbeat of warfare, none of the key players in the region wants or expects another Korean War – not even the North Koreans.

But by seemingly bringing the region to the very brink of conflict with threats and provocations, Pyongyang is aiming to draw attention to the tenuousness of the armistice designed to maintain peace on the Korean Peninsula, a truce North Korea recently announced it would no longer honor as it warned that war could break out at any time.

It’s all part of a grand master plan to force Washington to the negotiating table, pressure the new president in Seoul to change policy on North Korea, and build unity at home – without triggering a full-blown war if all goes well.

In July, it will be 60 years since North Korea and China signed an armistice with the U.S. and the United Nations to bring an end to three years of brutal, bloody Cold War fighting that cost millions of lives. The designated ‘Demilitarized Zone’ has evolved into the most heavily guarded border in the world.

It was never intended to be a permanent border. But six decades later, North and South remain divided, with Pyongyang feeling abandoned by the South Koreans in the quest for reunification and threatened by the Americans.
In that time, South Korea has blossomed from a poor, agrarian nation of peasants into the world’s 15th largest economy while North Korea is struggling to find a way out of a Cold War chasm that has left it with a per capita income on par with sub-Saharan Africa.

The Chinese troops who fought alongside the North Koreans have long since left. But 28,500 American troops are still stationed in South Korea and 50,000 more are in nearby Japan.
For weeks, the U.S. and South Korea have been showing off their military might with a series of joint exercises that Pyongyang sees as a rehearsal for invasion.

On Thursday, the U.S. military confirmed that those drills included two nuclear-capable B-2 stealth bombers that can unload the U.S. Air Force’s largest conventional bomb – a 30,000-pound super bunker buster – powerful enough to destroy North Korea’s web of underground military tunnels.

It was a provocative play by Washington, a flexing of military muscle perhaps aimed not only at Pyongyang but at Beijing as well.

In Pyongyang, Kim Jong Un reacted swiftly, calling an emergency meeting of army generals and ordering them to be prepared to strike if the U.S. provocations continue.
A photo distributed by North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency showed Kim in a military operations room with maps detailing a ‘strike plan’ behind him in a very public show of supposedly sensitive military strategy.

North Korea cites the U.S. military threat as a key reason behind its need to build nuclear weapons, and has poured a huge chunk of its small national budget into defense, science and technology.
In December, scientists launched a satellite into space on the back of a long-range rocket using technology that could easily be converted for missiles; in February, they tested an underground nuclear device as part of a mission to build a bomb they can load on a missile capable of reaching the U.S.

However, what North Korea really wants is legitimacy in the eyes of the U.S. – and a peace treaty. Pyongyang wants U.S. troops off Korean soil, and the bombs and rockets are more of an expensive, dangerous safety blanket than real firepower.
They are the only real playing card North Korea has left, and the bait they hope will bring the Americans to the negotiating table.

Narushige Michishita, director of the Security and International Studies Program at Japan’s National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, isn’t convinced North Korea is capable of attacking Guam, Hawaii or the U.S. mainland. He says Pyongyang hasn’t successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile.

But its medium-range Rodong missiles, with a range of about 800 miles (1,300 kilometers), are ‘operational and credible’ and could reach U.S. bases in Japan, he says.

More likely than such a strike, however, is a smaller-scale incident, perhaps off the Koreas’ western coast, that would not provoke the Americans to unleash their considerable firepower.
For years, the waters off the west coast have been a battleground for naval skirmishes between the two Koreas because the North has never recognized the maritime border drawn unilaterally by the U.N.

As threatening as Kim’s call to arms may sound, its main target audience may be the masses at home in North Korea.

For months, the masterminds of North Korean propaganda have pinpointed this year’s milestone Korean War anniversary as a prime time to play up Kim’s military credibility as well as to push for a peace treaty.
By creating the impression that a U.S. attack is imminent, the regime can foster a sense of national unity and encourage the people to rally around their new leader.

Inside Pyongyang, much of the military rhetoric feels like theatrics. It’s not unusual to see people toting rifles in North Korea, where soldiers and checkpoints are a fixture in the heavily militarized society.
But more often than not in downtown Pyongyang, the rifle stashed in a rucksack is a prop and the ‘soldier’ is a dancer, one of the many performers rehearsing for a Korean War-themed extravaganza set to debut later this year.

More than 100,000 soldiers, students and ordinary workers were summoned Friday to Kim Il Sung Square in downtown Pyongyang to pump their fists in support of North Korea’s commander in chief. But elsewhere, it was business as usual at restaurants and shops, and farms and factories, where the workers have heard it all before.

‘Tensions rise almost every year around the time the U.S.-South Korean drills take place, but as soon as those drills end, things go back to normal and people put those tensions behind them quite quickly,’ said Sung Hyun-sang, the South Korean president of a clothing maker operating in the North Korean border town of Kaesong. ‘I think and hope that this time won’t be different.’

And in a telling sign that even the North Koreans don’t expect war, the national airline, Air Koryo, is adding flights to its spring lineup and preparing to host the scores of tourists they expect to flock to Pyongyang despite the threats issuing forth from the Supreme Command.

War or no war, it seems Pyongyang remains open for business.

An 82-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual offences as part of the Jimmy Savile investigation.
The pensioner is one of 11 people arrested so far under Operation Yewtree – the Met’s investigation into alleged offending by the former disc jockey and others.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said last night that the man, who has not been named, was interviewed under caution on November 29 last year, five days after a search warrant was executed at an address in Berkshire.

He has been given police bail until May. Earlier this week the Mail revealed that as few as three of the men arrested by Scotland Yard over suspected sex offences in the Savile case are likely to be charged.

Details of the small number of Yewtree prosecutions emerged a day after a former BBC producer was released without charge following his arrest over an alleged sex assault in 1965.

Wilfred De’ath, 75, who spent four months on bail before being cleared, accused police of being ‘over-zealous’ because they had failed ‘lamentably’ to stop Savile’s reign of terror while he was still alive.

Amid claims of a celebrity witch-hunt, there has been growing speculation that Freddie Starr could soon be told that he, too, will not be charged.

KIM JONG PUTS MISSILE UNITS ON STANDBY AIMED AT US BASES - 29 MAR 13

North Korea has escalated its military and diplomatic confrontation with the US, responding to US military drills with a bellicose declaration that its rockets were ready to hit American bases in the Pacific.
In the latest of a volley of military threats and purple rhetoric, the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, warned that “the time has come to settle accounts with the US imperialists in view of the prevailing situation”. The official KCNA news agency said Pyongyang and Washington could only settle their differences by “physical means”.
The agency also released pictures of Kim and his senior generals huddled in front of a map showing strike possibilities on both US coasts. Pyongyang has rockets that could easily wreak carnage on Seoul, but its longer-rage missiles that could hit US Pacific bases are unproven and experts are sceptical of the threats.
“He finally signed the plan on technical preparations of strategic rockets of the KPA [Korean People's Army], ordering them to be on standby for fire so that they may strike any time the US mainland, its military bases in the operational theatres in the Pacific, including Hawaii and Guam, and those in South Korea,” KCNA said.
South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported there had been additional troop and vehicle movements at the North’s mid- and long-range missile sites, indicating they may be ready to fire.
Later on Friday, in the main square in Pyongyang, tens of thousands of North Koreans turned out for a 90-minute mass rally in support of Kim’s call to arms, the Associated Press reported. Men and women, many of them in olive drab uniforms, stood in arrow-straight lines, fists raised as they chanted, “Death to the US imperialists”. Placards in the plaza bore harsh words for South Korea as well, including, “Let’s rip the puppet traitors to death!”
The latest flurry of language came after the US flew two nuclear-capable stealth bombers over the peninsula on Thursday, dropping dummy munitions in joint military drills with South Korea. They flew from the US and back in what appeared to be the first exercise of its kind, designed to show America’s ability to conduct long-range, precision strikes “quickly and at will”, the US military said.
The US defence secretary, Chuck Hagel, said that the decision to send B-2 bombers to join the military drills was part of normal exercises and not intended to provoke North Korea. Hagel acknowledged, however, that North Korea’s belligerent tones and actions in recent weeks have ratcheted up the danger in the region, “and we have to understand that reality.”

Russia and China, both of which share a border with North Korea, called for restraint. In thinly-veiled criticism of the US manoeuvres, Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov expressed concern that “unilateral action is being taken around North Korea that is increasing military activity”.
The North has stepped up its rhetoric this month after the UN agreed a new round of sanctions to punish a nuclear test conducted on 12 February. Many experts believe the bellicose statements are aimed more at a domestic audience than at Pyongyang’s international adversaries.
